Flood Cleanup for a Category 3 Pocatello Home

This disaster happened while the homeowners were on vacation, definitely not what they had planned for. The upstairs toilet had clogged and went unnoticed before they left. It began to overflow while they were away.

Five days of sewage backing up, caused major damages. SERVPRO of Blackfoot/Pocatello, answered their call and began mitigation services immediately. Our techs suited up in PPE, since this job was deemed a category 3 loss (black water). They have to handle everything as a biohazard. Our techs had to extract the sewage and water, remove and itemize all the damage or affected contents of the home. Demoed most of the flooring on both levels of the home, the carpets and down to the subfloors. Walls needed flood cuts a complete removal of some drywall also. Some of the sub-flooring was salvageable, but most was either damaged or contained. This was a big job and SERVPRO of Blackfoot/Pocatello made it, “Like it never even happened.”
