If a tree falls on your property, it can be a HUGE mess. If a tree on your property falls on your home, it can be a disaster.

Calling your insurance agent is the most important step, as they can help you determine if your policy will cover the damage to your home or structure. Most often, insurance will pay for a tree that has fallen due to a storm. If a tree falls on the property, but doesn't hit a structure, tree removal will likely not be covered. If the tree fell due to rot, you'll have to talk to your agent.
