First aid kits, or emergency kits, are too important.  We shouldn’t wait till the last minute to put them together. Every business and personal home should have one ready to go always. Natural disasters can happen suddenly, and you might have to pick up and go at the drop of a hat.  Below are examples of what to include in your emergency kit.

What to Include in a kit for a group of 2 to 3 people -- Medical items to keep in a first aid kit include the following:

• Gloves
• Adhesive bandages
• Gauze pads: small & large
• Roll of gauze bandages
• Equipment for resuscitation
• Splint
• Towelettes to clean wounds
• Scissors
• Tweezers
• Blanket: minimum of one
• At least two elastic wraps
• Adhesive tape

The list above is intended only for small groups of people, for larger families and groups be sure to adjust the number of supplies needed. To be on the safe side, it is always a good idea to have more than one kit in a place of business or personal home. Also make sure the kits are in a location that are easily assessable.
